Your itinerary of the Sahara desert tour

DAY 1 : Marrakech – Telouate – Ait ben Haddou – Ouarzazate (Sahara desert tour)

The Sahara desert tour will start in Marrakech driving via the Tizi Ní Tichka path and passing by the kasbah of Telouet (The kasbah was the origin of the El Glaoui family’s power, also called the Palace of Glaoui). After lunch and through an old track of the caravanners, we will arrive to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou which Located in the foothills on the southern slopes of the High Atlas in the Province of Ouarzazate it is the common town in the valley of Ounila surrounded with Berber villages. Next station will be Ouarzazate. Overnight and dinner in the later.

DAY 2 : Ouarzazate – Gorges of Todra – Merzouga

Via the road of a 10,000 kasbahs, after breakfast, we will continue our Sahara desert tour trip’s day by visiting the kasbah of Amrédile Skoura. later, we will go to the capital of the rose Kalaa Mgouna (where the festival of rose hosted). Then, you will drive through the Dades Valley path to Boumalne (a breathtaking landscape). We will head towards Tinghir to discover Todra Gorge (15 km from Tinghir), lunch here. In the afternoon, we will leave to ‘Erfoud’, famous of its fossil products, through NR10 and which cross over the palm of Tinjdad, and the palm of Touroug, reaching the city of Erfoud. You will visit the fossil marble production workshop. Later, we drive to visit the dunes of Merzouga. Overnight in the site.

DAY 3 : Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

In the morning you will have your first contact with Merzouga’s golden sand before we go for exploration to the later. We will go through the 2 oases of MERZOUGA, the nomadic deposit by the roads through the desert, we will visit the village of KHAMLIA (Berber village) and also, you can visit the MIFISS mines. Also, you will taste the dishes of the desert and their tea, you will know the generous Berbers of the desert. Around 3 pm you will prepare yourself for the camel trekking towards Erg Chebbi sand dunes to attend the magical sunset. Overnight in the desert under the stary sky. In the next day we will continue our Sahara desert tour.

DAY 4 : Merzouga – Rissani-Alnif – Tazarine – Agdez – Marrakech

In that day we will drive via the palm of Tafilalet to reach the city of Rissani (the Alawite Kingdom origin). Later, we will reach to the Berber village Alnif, a rest place where we can have our lunch. In the afternoon, you will leave to Tazarine, Nkob and Tansihkt and via the later, you will take the road to the wonderful Dràa Valley, known with its widely palm trees. Continuing through Ouarzazate (the cinematic studio), crossing over the Berber village of Agdez and the Anti Atlas (1660 m altitude). Then, we will reach Marrakech where our Sahara desert tour ends.
