13 Days Marrakesh To Marrakesh

Day 1: Marrakesh- Chichaoua -Essaouira:

Your driver/guide will pick you up from the airport/riad/hotel/ and then depart toward Essaouira, with a short stop to see the goats climb the Argan tress. In Essaouira, you will have enough time to discover the city, with its old town, protected by 18th century seaport ramparts, called the Skala de la Kasbah.
Overnight, you will stay in your Riad or hotel .

 Day 2: Essaouira-Agadir-Taroudante:

breakfast then head toward Taroudant ,along the costal road ,first stop will be in Agadir Oufilla a beautiful panoramic view to the new  city of Agadir .Later on to Taroudant, known as the grandmother of Marrakech because it looks like a smaller version of Marrakech. With its surrounding ramparts, the town has the feel of a small fortified market town.Overnight bed and breakfast included .

Day 3: Taroudante-Ait Meloul-Tiznit-Mirleft:

This morning, after a leisurely breakfast, we will start our journey exploring the city of Taroudante ( Place Assarage,, Bab Zourgan Door Targont …

Next, we will continue our drive to Tiznit, famous for its hand crafted silver- much more affordable  than what you’ll find in Marrakech or Essaouira..

then, continuing on to Mirleft, a small beautiful beach town. Here, you will enjoy the amazing sunset from your hotel. You can also take  a short walk into town in the evening, not far from your hotel. Overnight bed and breakfast included . 

Day 4: Mirleft-Tiznit-Tirhmi-Tafraout:

After breakfast, we will start our fourth day headed to Tafraout ( the Jewel of the Anti-Atlas Mountains). On the way, you’ll see a beautiful landscape. The village is surrounded by red granite mountains. You’ll see  castle ruins, almonds, Argan and palm trees all along the way. Once we arrive, you will have time to explore the town- the painted rocks, the souks  filled with woodworkers, jewelry, silver, and leather. Dinner, overnight and breakfast at your hotel.

Day 5: Tafraout-Aferni-Tazalaght- Issafen-Tata:

After breakfast, we depart for Tata, across the Anti-Atlas Mountains, enjoying the landscape along the Draa Valley, a long and beautiful valley surrounded by palm trees. Here, the fortified Berber villages will be our first.

We will have lunch at one of the Berbere restaurants and then on to a traditional Berbere hotel in Tata, known for its many Ksours and traditional adobe berbere houses. Overnight, dinner, breakfast, included.

Day 6: Tata- Tissint-Foum  Zguid-Zagora:

Today, after breakfast, we depart and drive across the Anti-Atlas Mountains toward the town of Tata, the largest town in Tata province. The scenery is spectacular as we wind through the Draa Valley, surrounded by palm trees, toward Zagora. In the village of Foum Zguid, in the middle of the desert, we’ll stop  to enjoy lunch while enjoying the amazing views all around us. Later, we drive on to your Riad, in Zagora, in the heart of the Draa Valley. Dinner and breakfast, included.

Day 7: Zagora-Oumjrane-Tafraoute (Sidi Ali)M’harech-Rmlia-Ouzina-Merzouga Desert:

After breakfast, you have time to explore the city of Zagora, strolling  in the beautiful valley, watching the people work their fields. We will be off- road today in the heart of the Sahara Desert, enjoying the scenery of the volcanic black Anti-Atlas Mountains. We pass by beautiful Berbere villages (Oumjrane, Tafraoute, and M’harech). Lunch is in Ouzina, then head to your hotel in Erg Chebbi, the largest sand dunes in Morocco.

Day 8: Hassi Labyad-Merzouga-Khamlia-Tamrdanit:

Today, we will take an exciting off-road drive on the sand dunes near the Algerian -Morocco border. We’ll explore another part of the Sahara. You’ll have the chance to meet Berbere families living in tents made from camel hair and you’ll have the chance to talk with these native people (with help from your driver/guide), to hear about their way of life. Next, we’ll visit the small Berbere villages of Tamrdanite and M’fis, where we will visit a functional mineral mine and learn how  it works.
Continuing on to Khamlia, a remote village a population of  only 32 families, it’s  famous for its association of Gnawa music. You’ll get a chance to see them play this ritual music and learn something about the Khamlia people, who originated from Mali.
For lunch, we will visit a local restaurant to taste a delicious Berbere pizza and then continue our drive to your hotel to get ready  for a highlight of your trip, a camel ride to the desert camp. On the way, you’ll stop to see the desert sunset. Overnight, in the desert camp, you’ll have dinner and music spending a unique night in a Nomad tent or under the starry skies, if you prefer.

Day 9: Merzouga Desert-Rissani-Erfoud-Tinjdad-Todra Gorge (Tinghir)-Boumalen Dades:

Early this morning, the camel man will wake you up to watch the sunrise. Then, back to eat breakfast before you trek back to your hotel to shower and get ready for the rest of the day.
Later, we drive to Rissani, the oldest imperial city in a valley surrounded by palm trees. we’ll visit the mausoleum of Moulay ali Cherif, the great grandfather of Moulay Cherif, who founded the Alaouite Dynasty of Morocco. Next, to Erfoud, known for fossils. Every year, this town also  holds a Festival of Dates (palm dates), in the beginning of October, which lasts three days.
Next we drive to Todra Gorge where you can have lunch and an opportunity to take a  walk, stretch your legs and see the famous spots for rock climbers with its rocky walls-up to 300M high-. Then we continue driving to your hotel in Dades Gorge, another beautiful landscape

Day 10: Dades Valley-Botghrar-Kalaat M’gouna (Rose Valley)-Skoura (Oasis):

Today, after breakfast, you will begin the day exploring the Dades Valley with its fig, almond, and peach trees. The scenery is breathtaking, as we drive through the Atlas Mountains. Then, we’re off-road for about 16KM , arriving in the middle of nowhere. This is where the nomads make their homes, in caves. We will rest and have tea with a nomad family in their tent and learn something about their ways ( with the help of your driver/guide). Afterwards, we continue on to Botghrar Village, along the Rose Valley, to Kalaa M’gouna, the City of Roses, for lunch in a local restaurant. We will linger here and then drive toward our next destination, Skoura, where we stop to visit a coveted Kasbah (Amridil Kasbah), founded in the  17th century. Then on to your hotel in Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa.

Day 11: Ouarzazate-Ait Ben Haddou-Tizi N’Tichka-Marakesh:

After breakfast, we will begin our last day exploring Ouarzazate, with its Taourirt Kasbah and its 19th century Glaoui Palace. The Kasbah is a very pretty, remarkably well preserved construction of Pise’, with its maze of courtyards, stairs and rooms of all sizes.
Next, on the Atlas Movie Studio, the site of some of the biggest movies in the world, such as  Babel, The Mummy, and Lawrence of Arabia, to name a few!
We continue towards the Ait Ben Haddou Village, a famous UNESCO World Heritage site, with its  exotic Kasbah, used in movies and shows such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones..
From there, we pass across the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, at an altitude of 2260M. We will stop, take pictures, have lunch in a local restaurant with great food and great views. Then we continue our journey to Marrakesh, passing panoramic views, beautiful Berbere villages, riverbeds and castles. We end our day at your hotel, to relax.

Day 12: Marrakesh:

Today, we have a full day tour with a local guide to fully explore Marrakesh. You’ll immerse yourself in the red city, have lunch in the Medina and visit the most beautiful sites and monuments of Marrakesh, dating back many centuries. The Bahia Palace, the 16th Century Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Majorelle Gardens and of course, Marrakesh’s  famous souks, where the merchants sell everything from leather, carpets, spices and kaftans.

Day 13: Marrakesh-Airport:

At the appropriate hour, we will say goodbye and drive you to the Airport
