Overview of your itinerary from the charm Marrakech

Your tour will start and end in the charm Marrakech. You will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou which is located in the region of Ouarzazate. And after discovering the studios of Ouarzazate, you will drive Agdez, Daraa Valley and Tazarine. Later, you will arrive at Merzouga where you will enjoy the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Then, you will drive through Rissani to reach the Gorges of Todgha and spend the night in Dades Valley. Finally, you will take the road of the Rose valley passing by Skoura to end your journey in the charm Marrakech.

DAY 1 : Marrakech – Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Departure Marrakech in the morning. Wherever you are, we will pick you then, we drive to Ouarzazate. On the path, we will pass over the High Atlas through the marvelous pass of Tizi n’Tichka, at 2,260 meters above sea level, landscape from above will be something you have never seen. Our next destiny will be the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, to visit this wonderful architected heritage of more than 300 years from its built. After lunch, we will reach to the African Hollywood where tens of international movies were shot such as: Gladiator or The Kingdom of Heaven and the famous serial Game of Throns, it’s in the region of Ouarzazate, where you can visit the movie-studio and stay for the night.

DAY 2 : Ouarzazate – Agdez – Draa Valley – Tazarine – Desert Sahara (track of Paris – Dakar)

In the morning, we will leave to Zagora via the mountains of the Anti-Atlas, crossing over the path of Tizi n Tinifift, located at 1600 meters above sea level. Then, we will drive to the Drâa Valley by a trial where we will see different Berber villages and kasbahs. Passing by N’kob, Tarazine and Alnif, we will take a different path, that crosses over ancient villages towards the town of Ramlia. Later, our day will end in a Kasbah in the heart of nowhere or in a hotel at the center of dunes. Overnight here.

DAY 3 : Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

In the morning near to village we will go to Merzouga. Crossing over small villages, we will pass by Uadis (dry river beds), Oases and the dunes of Ouzina. Later, we will visit the famous village of Khamlia, a nomadic Berber town, the inhabitants are originally from Mali; you will enjoy their traditional music which based on drums. From Khamlia, we will leave towards Erg Chebbi dunes, the open gate to the Sahara Desert. Then, we will drive through another track located in the “Paris-Dakar Rally” to visit the desert nomads, we will drink mint-tea and see the oasis where some movies were shot such as “Sahara” (also known as the Ship of Death in the desert, with Penelope Cruz). Around afternoon, you will experience a new activity, ridding camels. they will lead us to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to live with the unbelievable sunset. Our night will be special. We will have the night in the dunes in nomadic tents (Khaima, Berber tents). Where we will have a Berber dinner, enjoying the traditional music and a magical stary sky. Dinner and stay at a beautiful nomad tent.

DAY 4 : Merzourga – Rissani – The Gorges of Todra – Dades Valley

In the morning we will attend the beautiful sunrise. Then, we will trek the camels back to the hotel in where you can take a shower to get back your energy. Later, we will drive towards Rissani, origin of the Alauí dynasty and first imperial city of Morocco. Next, we will continue to Erfoud, famous of its black stones and marine fossils (if you wish, we can stop at a fossil factory) through the later, we will reach to the Palmeral de Tafilalet. Where you will visit the Gorges de Roda and then, arrive at the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight here. In the next day we will continue to the charm Marrakech.

DAY 5 : Dades Valley – Rose valley – Skoura – Charm Marrakech

Driving from Dades valley passing by the road of “Thousand Kasbahs”, crossing over the valley of Roses. Then, we will continue to arrive to the palm grove of Skoura, in where you can see a modern town and also a historical oasis and palmeraie with its traditional rammed-earth architecture. From there, we will drive through the way-back to Marrakech by the same route of the high atlas and the pass of tichka but before, we will have lunch. Arrive to charm Marrakech.
