From Merzouga To Erg Chebbi

We begin our tour as we pick you up from your hotel in Merzouga and drive toward the sand dunes near the Algerian/Moroccan border. You will have the chance to stop for pictures of black volcanic rock and the dunes of the Sahara. You’ll meet  Nomadic families to learn about their culture and lifestyle. We’ll drive through small Berbere villages, like Tamrdanite,  to see how some Moroccans have lived for 1000’s of years.

Once in Khamlia, a small village in the desert, you will meet the Gnawa people, to watch them play their instruments, and hear their spiritual music.  On our way back to your hotel, we’ll stop at Lake of Ait Sareji, which attracts pink flamingos and many other exotic birds. Then, back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
